The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is the independent regulator responsible for registering and reviewing schools and education providers across Victoria. As a school-council operated service, our OSHC program sits within the school's VRQA registration and is subject to its oversight.

The VRQA sets and monitors minimum standards covering governance, child safety and welfare, supervision, facilities, curriculum and financial management. Through regular review and compliance checks, the VRQA provides families with assurance that our service operates to the standards required of a registered school — and that children's safety and wellbeing are protected by an external authority, not just our own commitment.

My Time, Our Place curriculum.

Our program is planned using My Time, Our Place — the national framework for school age care in Australia. It recognises that children's out-of-school time is valuable for play, leisure and learning, and supports educators to design experiences that nurture the whole child.

Educators draw on the framework's outcomes to plan activities that support children's sense of identity, connection with others, social and emotional wellbeing, confidence as learners, and active contribution to the program. Children's voices and interests directly shape what's on offer — from creative arts, construction and sport to quiet spaces, cooking and collaborative projects — so the program meaningfully supports each child's personal and social development alongside their school day.
