From Monday 14 September to Wednesday 16 September, our Grade 3–6 students enjoyed three days of outdoor adventure, teamwork and new friendships at Lake Dewar Discovery Camp. What a wonderful experience — full of stories to share!
Run by YMCA Y Discovery Camps, Lake Dewar sits on the shores of a private lake near Werribee Gorge, around an hour's drive from Melbourne. Students bunk in shared lodge accommodation and take on a packed program of adventure challenges designed to build resilience, confidence and cooperation — all supervised by qualified YMCA instructors alongside WPS staff.

Camps like this only happen because of the generous people who give up their time (and their own beds!) to look after our students. A huge thank you in advance to the WPS staff attending the camp, and to any parent helpers joining us — your care, energy and willingness to sleep in a bunk make these unforgettable experiences possible.

The Enrolment Journey
We've reduced the friction so new families can follow a clear, policy-compliant pathway to joining our community.
Step 01
Call our office on 9844 3537 or book a tour online. We'll arrange a personal walk-through of the campus and answer your questions.
Step 02
Complete the Department of Education enrolment form, available from the office or downloadable from our Policy Vault below.
Step 03
We confirm your child's place and invite your family to our Prep Transition Program — familiarising children with their new environment.
Step 04
Your child joins our culture of kindness, buddied with a Year 6 mentor, and ready to begin their Warrandyte journey.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.

Our school uses the Department of Education's secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.
We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time during the school year. Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
